"Loukoumi Greek taverna seafood restaurant in astoria ny We went to this wonderful restaurant the other nights with our friends who had highly recommended it. Once inside we were warmly greeted by the owner and staff. The restaurants decor is warm. We had ordered an assortment of appetizers and three entrees to share. Everything we ordered was amazing. My favorite was a red snapper fish which was prepared grilled with a side order of horta, one of the best fish dishes i have ever eaten. The meal ended with an assortment of Greek deserts – a cornmeal cake dipped in honey, greek yogurt with walnuts drizzled in honey and a file pastry filled with a creamy custard.

Our whole experience was awesome and would definitely go back and i highly would recommend Loukoumi Greek taverna restaurant to others.

" I went here after a particularly stressful day so my memory of it is a bit shorter than it tends to be at other times. The Loukoumi Taverna offered us a nice outdoor table and some really great lunch special options. I chose the Fried calamari which I thought were not only delicious but so plentiful I could not finish them. That pained me since those tasty meaty fish died for me and it was too hot to bring them home for later, which I guess in the case of fish is a good thing. Our sides of beets, horta and lemon potatoes proved to be quite the challenge for us and again we left too much to waste. :(((

I have every intention of going back to experience the atmosphere that I was oblivious to and have those fried calamari again. But this time I will make sure not to eat for a week before going as the portions are that plentiful and very good value for the price.

"I go there as much as I can and its far from my house.The service is very friendly and attentive as for the seafood any kind of fish... unbeatable!!!
Get the ikoumeniki salad , octopus, feta ,grill calamari and tyrokeftedes. Unbeatable quality food.

"YUMMY! Loukoumi is an amazing place to dine and enjoy friends, in a family style environment. Every dish is well made, beautiful and enough to satisfy a big appetite. The hospitality is superb and inviting, I think about going back every day. Start with the dips and the Greek salad, OMG, delicious :) after that anything will do from tender sea food to delicately cooked liver. If you are in Astoria or Queens this place is a must. Family owned and operated with a smile.
